You talk about picking up where you left off but this recording shows beyond any doubt that, during those years when you were silent, you were progressing “silently” in your understanding and feeling of music with which you were bonding more closely all the time. Your sound increased in depth and range of colours and your playing now has a force and sense of urgency which conveys your musical message in a way that commands attention and fills the listener with deep emotion.
