Life Without the Cello

Being told that she was no longer able to play the cello, after having built her life around performing, left her devastated. The pain became emotional as well as physical. Too ashamed to tell anyone, or ask for help, she turned inwards. A depression followed, during which she couldn’t even listen to music the pain was so great. Financial strain meant she had to retrain and begin to rebuild her life. She became a self-taught graphic designer, and over time grew to accept her situation.
